The increased attention from state actors will be the one to watch. Assuming continued user growth, there will be a tipping point where governments will shift from attention to action, which is where we can expect to see dedicated misinformation, attempts at internal subversion, and overt legislation designed to cripple or eliminate.

The people working to #grownostr are clever and I have faith in their ability to plan for and build around these types of attacks. That said, I cannot underestimate the power of the state when it is properly spooked.

Most people I invite don't understand why they need to join "yet another network". I have had friends join, and I'm waiting to see their posts so I can zap and show them the power of the nostr. I'll just keep waiting.

I think one of the limitations I have is that 99% of my human interaction is online. I very rarely go out with friends, not since 2020. I'll go over to a friends house for dinner, but no large groups. I just don't trust humans. One of the few times I rode the bus I was sick for a week after. So all I can do is put out my ideas and how someone listens.

Massively agree and I myself use Primal, although I don't use their inbuilt wallet system for kyc reasons.

I was also just listening to the bitcoin podcast with @walker and Pablo. They mentioned its easier to purple pill than orange pill which made me think.

It's so correct. I've had small success re educating some close friends and colleagues into bitcoin but the explanation process can get painful at times. I'm convinced that if I'd been trying to convert them to #nostr, more would jump across and they would then see bitcoin utility that would likely draw them in anyway.
