Bots and scammy accounts that clearly spin up multiple npubs to spam “gm”s or beg for sats. I tried giving some of these accounts the benefit of the doubt in case they are actually new people, but it’s exhausting. So, because of all these fucking leeches…I’m not able to engage with a lot of new users without skepticism.

But hey, I totally get how annoying bots and “sats beggars” can be. I’m a real person, not asking for anything, not expecting sats, just here to connect and chat with new people. Hopefully, over time, it’ll get easier to tell who’s genuine 🧐

It makes it more difficult for me to trust new users, and more difficult for them to gain traction. There is an effect both ways unfortunately.

I never zap an introduction post unless someone I interact with says yes this is a real person that I know. I do however try to leave a comment about how great it is and the best way to get traction is to just talk to people.
I hate that these people exist, all to try and scam you out of a dollar or less 🙄. Lame.

You really can stack sats here just by being genuine and having authentic engagements with other people. I have been sent sats for the most random of my posts 😂 also tho I think it’s fair to say I did some begging for my #car4poetix ngl I am so #thankful to have a car!

For real. Have a witty comeback and make someone giggle, put up a shitty picture, have a real interaction with someone, God forbid someone put in a teeny amount of effort 🙄. I can confirm that I zap and have been zapped for all of these.
The confusing thing for me is why the people who have been around so long are still falling for the scammers.
This is frustrating. Guess we just have to prove our value and authenticity on Nostr.
