I had a long discussion with a friend who’s very pro XRP shitcoin and believes bitcoin will go away at some point.

His view is that value is flowing out of the fiat system and XRP will become the new digital fiat/CBDC. He is attempting to front run this transition and make a lot of money doing it.

I don’t disagree with him, I’ve thought for a long time that XRP and ETH would merge with CBDC’s and you probably could make a lot of money doing that, but at what cost?

Condemning people to live in that prison for life for your benefit? Is there any better description of a parasite?

I think that’s why Bitcoiners find our community wholesome, because there are plenty of ways to get money, but we’re not just here to save ourselves, we’re here to save everyone.

I choose bitcoin not only because it’s the best way to gain real wealth for me, but because it’s the best way to gain wealth for everyone, and because it’s the most humanitarian and moral way to do it

Any money they will make will be diluted out when they start printing more and more XRP and Eth. Which will happen if they actually merge with or become CBDC’s, because the state needs that functionality over all else and it all falls apart if they can’t print more even if they have the surveillance features.

Your friend, and someone I know too, is just rugging himself lol It’s easier for the state if people choose to give up their dollars for the CBDC if they are that gullible.

I have a mentor and business partner that believes similar to your friend and I can’t get through to him lol I think it’s because he sees it as a way to make lots of dollars in a speculative manner.

I also think it’s because he doesn’t get that XRP and bitcoin are not the same kind of thing. He is grouping them all together as crypto and extending Bitcoin’s virtues out to everything under the “crypto” category in a classic logical error.

They are very hard to reason with, but I think it might come from the fact that they are starting from a different point of view.

If your aim is short term speculative profits for yourself I don’t think you ever make it to bitcoin.

If your aim is to fix the monitory system then you get there.
