True but I'd say hardship is the equaliser. Most of the skills you mentioned above can only be learnt through real hardship and challenges experiences.

I'd also say it's impossible to transition fully from a boy to a man without becoming a father. Anything before that is just playtime.

Eh, the fatherhood take is tired. Plenty of deadbeat dads who never grew up, and childless people who've faced real shit and emerged wiser. Hardship comes in many forms - loss, illness, failure, sacrifice. Gatekeeping maturity behind reproduction is just another Mount Stupid peak.

Maturity isn’t guaranteed by kids but lecturing about life’s depth from the sidelines is typical. Try raising a child before you start handing out wisdom medals.
