True. I didnβt intend to overlook or oversimplify. Some people genuinely obsess about money due to greed (and perhaps from growing up in scarcity), and others are forced to think about money continuously because they donβt have enough (mazloβs hierarchy of needs // survival).
In both cases, itβs probably not βtheir faultβ but a result of the circumstances one is born into.
Thanks for the extra dose of compassion here. It matters π
Guilty, πββοΈ I stress. Single mom to 3
I love that you brought up Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs! β€οΈ
Victims of circumstance hurt me the most because their growth is stunted by something out of their control.
Some don't know right from wrong because of this. Have you heard of Kohlberg's Theory of Moral Development?
I have not. I do, however, appreciate a good Banksy tag filled with irony. Iβve learned to let go of attachment to material possessions. I now equate relationships with value. This; Damus, bitcoin, and the rabbit hole it opens!!, have come at the right time for me! Therapeutic ππ«
That's awesome! I love that bitcoin makes some people grow in that way.

I havenβt! Please tell me
Essentially it's a theory of how we develop morals. 6 stages from birth to adulthood. There's crossover with Maslow's Hierarchy in that if you don't get those needs, morals will be stunted as well.
Unfortunately, not all adults reach the adulthood stage even if they were well off. π
Decent chart here:

No guilt! Just situation. I have a strong conviction that the fiat system is the reason it can be so tough to βget aheadβ no matter how hard you try.
