Thoughts on single sig + passphrase vs. multi-sig 2/3 for an individual?

Nvm searched your posts on Sparrow and found the answer. Thanks

my thoughts condensed: both are solid options, multi sig enables more flexibility which i prefer

Gotta have an Inheritance plan

Go with Nunchuck Honey Badger plan

You get the benefits of collaborative custody, inheritance planning, mobile & desktop support, and you can manage the wallet with Sparrow if you prefer that interface

what is benefit to Numchuk vs say Unchained or River

Great guide, thank you. Been using Sparrow + Coldcard on my own node and was primarily curious about Single Sig vs. Multi Sig after watching an old Andreas Antonopoulos clip where he was saying Multi Sig is risky for non-technical users because if even1 xpub is lost then the wallet is gone forever even with the private keys. I believe that's what he was trying to say at least, I may have misunderstood.

yea, that was a while ago, saving redundant copies of the sparrow wallet file mitigates that, or redundant copies of the xpubs

Can you send a link please mate

Found it lol

100% of Bitcoiners are better off than no-coiners.

~1% of Bitcoiners hold their corn in a secure, private and sovereign way.

~1% of this ~1% hold their corn in a way that is ACTUALLY secure, private and sovereign with ZERO MISTAKES made.

Option A) Acquire 2 x ColdCards and have them posted to a burner PO BOX (it can NOT be your home address), acquire a computer in a private manner, set up a multi-sig Sparrow wallet on desktop, acquire a Graphene powered Pixel device for mobile spending and BTC usage only (device must be paid for in cash with no IMEI linked to your ID), acquire BTC in a KYC free manner without making a single mistake (easier said than done), setup a seperate bitcoin node at home that uses a different internet connection than your home wifi system that has never been connected to a previous KYC BTC corrupted wallet or a KYC corrupted lightning wallet, setup a BTC paid for VPN service / free VPN service that is ALWAYS ON, acquire knowledge on how to perform a coinjoin correctly whilst making ZERO mistakes (zero mistakes with coordination selection, zero mistakes with ‘change’ management , strict and precise coinjoin UTXO management), create a burner email address to aid with spending on mobile, acquire a burner Gmail account that must be paid for with BTC to access a stable version of Aurora store if using apps like the Bitcoin Company for KYC free spending (Aurora can become

buggy and unusable when not signed in [sometimes - not always]), ensure your primary home wifi connection never connects to your BTC only desktop and mobile device, use an eSIM or physical SIM in your Graphene Pixel that is paid for with BTC and acquired privately, stamp all 48 seed words into metal plates and distribute in geographically different locations that you’ll have unfettered access to for life, metal plates to be acquired anonymously and sent to a different burner PO BOX or acquire with sats from someone in person, set up an inheritance plan that is fool proof and doesn’t increase your risk profile or endanger your family, buy 2 x SD cards and a dataless USB cable / USB to SD dongle and a power bank for UTXO signing and to facilitate software updates for your signing devices, verify all software updates before installing (you’ll have to learn how to do this), write down all of your PIN numbers, bogus / spoof PIN numbers and passwords and keep them in a secure location that is seperate from your hardware signing device locations and your seed word back up locations and NEVER MAKE A SINGLE MISTAKE FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE STEPS.

OR

Option B) Buy a BitKey and follow the prompts. Use a Bitcoin only exchange.

0.01% of people need option A because they can do whats required without making a SINGLE MISTAKE.

99.99% of people need option B because they can’t execute option A flawlessly.

The old saying “Don’t let perfect get in the way of good enough” does NOT apply to sovereign, secure and private Bitcoin. One small mistake will fuck you or your future self so hard in ways you can’t even imagine.

loool A+ opening
