So the Houthis fire a lot of drones at ships in the Red Sea. The Americans and Brits shoot down virtually every single one of them. I thought obviously the Houthis aren't very capable, and America and the UK are very capable, and the Houthis probably need to come up with another tactic.

But then I learned that Houthi drones cost $2,000 while the American missiles that shoot them down cost $2,100,000. So even when the drones don't hit anything, the Houthis achieve something of great worth: wasting an expensive American missile.

Geeez, I should have become an arm dealer

This is a good point. Something tells me that certain interests don't want a $100 solution. We could probably down them for even less than that if the right people weren't making so much money on those missiles.

Frankly, I'd just turn them all to dust and be done with it. But we like to be as inefficient, ineffective, and expensive as we can be when it comes to war. It turns out that's where the money is.

🤦🏻

I was also wrong about the "every single one of them". Many of the drones are going to miss, and the Americans/Brits can tell, so they just let those fall in the water.

Its just a propaganda that their drones cost 2k and it costs 2kk to hit them. The same was for iranian drones rusians launch in Ukraine (perhaps the same drones itan supplies houthies with). But recently people started realizing drones cost closer to 200-300k at best

I'm getting various numbers from mainstream sources:

$2,000 (smaller one-way attack drones)

$20,000 (larger Shahed-136, according to Shaan Shaikh a fellow with the Missile Defense Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies)

€20,000 to €50,000 (Shahed-136) (The Guardian, Oct 2022)

$375,000 per, $290,000 per when ordering 2000 units, $193,000 per when ordering 6000 units (Shahed-136, Prana Network hacker group, hacking into IRGC emails, article dated Feb 7, 2024)

And do I read it correctly that even regardless of what price tag is real, in your initial post you decide to use the lowest one without even mentioning there may be doubts?

Why are you such an ass? I gave the data as best I knew. When you pointed out I may be wrong, I researched it and again gave the best data I knew. How am I supposed to give better data than I know?

Every single interaction I have had with you, you've been an absolute ass. While I don't like muting real people, I'm going to make an exception. Go the fuck away.

I may sound like an ass sometimes for some people because most of the time people don’t like the truth AND most of the time they can only see the truth when showered with cold water

How can I shower with cold water when my house is like an ice box? The water is relatively warmer than the air so it will always be a warm shower (even at 1°C). Perspective distorts this simple truth.

I’ve thought about the dozen of answers to objectively describe my answers in regard to the initial note…

But I will just probably say that nothing prevents water from tending to absolute zero way lower celsius zero, even liquid one

Also, I misunderstood you here and specifically for that I apologize. I thought you did your research before posting the initial note and still decided to only mention 2k price. In this case you would intentionally spread disinformation

But if you didn’t do the research before making this claim you are spreading disinfo not intentionally but because you are a victim of propaganda

You say shit that directly affect my country and me. How can you expect me to be nice with you?
