Again, as long as you don’t buy anything substantial. If you buy a car with monero for example and you were audited, it’s going to be seized.

I don’t care about Monero.

Also, I guess it depends on what jurisdiction you’re in.

Third, the adults who risk getting their property seized because somehow they have a government that can do that, can make their own decisions.

That’s the case in every civilised country in the world. Anti-money laundering laws are standard, and that’s actually a good thing.

So why bitcoin then, what problem is it solving?

AML is bullshit. Not a good thing.

People still launder money.

It’s lazy policing and is needless surveillance.

If it’s MY money, then I should be able to transact with anyone I want.

If I break the law, go investigate and prosecute. You know actual police work.

AML is just policing perceived intent.

Bitcoin solves separation of money and state.

Government shouldn’t be in charge of the money. Monetary inflation is a real thing.

Hamburgers weren’t 35 cents 70 years ago because of “the good old days”.

Governments and their central banks make up money, devalue people’s hard earned money (stealing their time they busted their ass earning it) to give it to their well connected friends.

Government shouldn’t have the right to confiscate properly arbitrarily WITHOUT due process.

I hardly consider any of that civilized.

Again. The roads where I am suck, our civilized system ain’t doing a good job.

Apologies. I thought you were replying to me. I saw there’s a Monero guy who chimed in.

I am not a monero guy. I am bitcoin guy. I wrote if you want be untraceable you can use monero. Just that. Bitcoin is traceable. You should make your own choice.

Sorry for that! I just glanced at your note and was focused on this back and forth. Sorry Frogger!

no problem 😃
