You got it man. Striving to be healthier is a continuous journey. Everyday we learn more and more about our individual body and metabolism.
Small changes over an extended period of time will help make the change permanent. There's an initial hump of shittiness that can be helped with finding healthier replacements. Keto ice cream for example. Or homemade with heavy cream 🤌🏾🤌🏾.
For me, starting the day off either fasting or just coffee makes life easier. Eat high fat high protein for lunch and have some carbs with meat for dinner. If I want something sweet I'll eat some honey or some keto muesli with whole milk on occasion.
Carbs too early in the day will throw you on an endocrine rollercoaster that is accompanied with sugar cravings.
This is pretty much my approach, though I'm still carrying lbs I don't want. My body likes it when I work out, but my brain usually objects. There is a lot to get under control.
💯 yea man, it requires a holistic approach imho. getting that baseline fitness to start enjoying exercise is very hard but worth doing.
n=1 always. for me it was a combo of yoga, calisthenics, and tempo runs. i either based my exercise for the day on how i felt when i woke up or i used an HRV monitor to tell me my readiness. Im a fan of the HRV method, it really takes the mystery out of what exercise you should be doing.
