Nostr as a protocol has some compelling properties. Likely same with pubky, though I have not yet dug into it.
Just because I like motorcycles doesn’t mean I am part of a motorcycle gang.
The upside is that I get to interact with people of like-mind.
Sometimes it's simply disappointing to see people respond with prejudice when they don't have any info, nor made any sincere effort to compare anything at all.
Those aren't the kind of people I want to please, so I guess it is a good heuristic at least...

I've found no shortage of good-natured and broad-minded people here. Nostr humour is definitely a thing though—you have to tune your receiver accordingly.

Human tribalism is natural and leads to the best outcomes (flourishing and upward evolution). Certain things that seem "kind" and "good" to miseducated midwits (like giving your country away, opening your borders, debt, stealing people's wealth to "develop" the "underdeveloped," etc.) is actually the opposite of kind and good in the long run.
