I think the idea is “here is a list of things you can give us that will help us do the thing we are doing, we can use sleeping pads if you have them, we can use yoga mats if you have them.” The listing of both items does not mean they are sleeping on one and doing yoga on the other. Same for “tarps” and “umbrellas”.
