Make sure you give it some draft space for the hobey to gather and pool in the container opening or it will overflow and you’ll hate me. Best to keep a wise bowl or flat-bottomed container with sides under the filtered container to catch any accidental overflow. It’s a pain, but it’s our life.

How do you think they gained access to the honey container? Was the lis breached somehow? Or was it on the honey frame?
It's one of those honey pots where the glass lid is molded around the dipper stick, so it's not completely sealed. So these tiny flies could skip through the crack.
