I’ve just had an argument with my relocation agent, where he was arguing that we were not arguing.

I’m not joking.

Some other notable parts of the conversation:

I explained that we may not want to visit popular tourist attractions when he collects us from our cruise ship as our fellow passengers might mean it’s too busy.

His question was how many passengers were there?

It turns out he thought I was offering to give my 5,200 fellow passengers a lift to the tourist attraction in my agents car.

I’m not joking.

Then I explained that I didn’t want to visit the local Botanic garden, because I have one next door to where I live in the UK.

His response is, I won’t find a house to buy with its own Botanic Garden.

I’m not joking.

Then I tried to explain that we have a communication problem. He told me I was wrong, we then ended up arguing. Then I suggested we shouldn’t argue, he argued that we were not arguing.

I'm not joking.

Oh and if you remember from previous posts, this is the same agent that when I explained by messenger that I don’t conduct business by phone, he told me he would call tomorrow.

I’m not joking.

I’m trying to write the rejection email, but struggling 😂

Is he a fucking dick head?

Can I write that on the rejection letter and attribute it to you Doug? 😂

Of course, Mike. This dude sounds like he needs a new job

😂

I got you Mike. Here...Just copy paste:

Dear dickhead agent,

We can no longer work together because our style of operations are incompatible.

This is something we cannot overcome. Please seek another customer, I appreciate your time.

Sincerely,

mike

That's actually a very good letter.

I somehow didn't expect that.

I may replace "dickhead agent" with his real name tho 😂

Mike. I'm like a g-spot torpedo.

She doesn't know it's in the water, but when it hits, she's happy.

I'm here for you 🫂

Thanks pal 🫂

Solid writing.

I know it'd all fun and games, but seriously. I can't handle slap-dick operators. Listen and provide value to your customer or GFY. It's unreal what people get away with and still get paid

He didn't somehow believe that I knew what I was doing.

He was also intent on pointing out that because I'd never been to that specific Island before, I couldn't possibly know anything about it.

When it became obvious I had done research, he attempted to correct unbelievably tiny, moot points.

I didn't need his knowledge, I needed him to do a job for me.

I don't think he understood that.

And maybe replace sincerely with GFY🤔😂🤣

Now THAT is collaboration. Approved on my part!!

Too far, sorry 😂

😮‍💨

😂😂😂😂😂

Rich people problems are cute.

You're not so bad yourself 🧡

😂 He clearly relocated his brain to another country.

If only the rest of his body would follow 😂

Lost in translation!!!

On a side note I visited your local botanics last week, one of my favourite. Got this snap looking down the tunnel out to the cover. Also visited Crave…lovely!

That's an amazing photo 🧡

I've taken a few myself, but they are all rubbish.

We are members there of the Botanic Gardens.

My Uncle died at the TB hospital there. He was aged 18, in 1942 after being medically discharged from the army.

Funnily enough, everybody raves about Crave, but I'm not a big fan.

It's out of season, but if you go back, I HIGHLY recommend Crab Pasties from the Crab Shack for lunch in Steephill. Cove.

You'll want two if you're hungry and you can get a can of beer or Prosecco with them.

Yeah that photo was a good one, phone did all the work. I just clicked and that was what I got, couldn’t repeat it if I tried. Would be a member myself if we were more local, settle for visiting every other year.

We actually went down the Cove for lunch but went to the first little place the Beach Shack (the crab shack was still opening up), had myself the obligatory crab sandwich, it was great. We’d been told to go there by an island expat who now works up in the far north (over the border, where winter is a real season).

Will def be going back down there, Steephill Cove was one of our favourite days out this trip.

The Beach Shack is also a good choice.

They have an amazing view.

Crab in anything is good.

I have encountered more of this kind of thing in the past 24 months than any other time in my life. I'm not sure what's happening to people tbh, but it's happening often.

I have encountered this my whole life, but I agree the frequency of this type of encounter has increased dramatically recently.
