This is well known, right? I have seen mid level politicians just hanging out over weekend even though they were very aggressively opposing each other. They are a variant of actors. Bad actors.

Which is why the only way to “win” is to find your tribes and work with them directly. If you trust in distant politicians to do anything of use to you, eventually you’ll get rekt.

Or there is simply the idea that you can be friendly with people you disagree with 🤷
