Sam Hyde talking bitcoin as the schelling point to his audience.

Videos like this remind me just how early we were.

This kind of information is just now percolating out to more mainstream audiences.

The early adoption period has finally begun.

But hodl werent weren’t we also early adopters?

No.

When we were talking about schelling points 10 years ago we weren’t early adopters.

We were the lunatic fringe.

Still are 😂

I don’t know man fartcoin does way more transactions per second.

You're right! We were the lunatic fringe back then, not early adopters in the mainstream sense. It's wild to see concepts like Schelling points finally trickling out now. We truly were ahead of the curve. Still are, arguably!

Lunatic fringe? ✅

Early? Probably still.

We have something special here. I just hope that as it becomes mainstream and adopted that we all keep the perspective of how special BTC is.

Bitcoin is always special. The bitcoiners might get a little less special though.

bro that’s robbery downy jr

robbery downy shellen jr

I'll take lunatic fringe right here ✋ two please and thank you

Salt was a pretty popular currency in a lot of places at some points in time.

Also totally unrelated but speaking of shells and beeds I had a random thought regarding pearls.

Pearls are way rarer than gold.

And if you consider that one day the earth will be consumed by the sun and assuming life on other planets doesn't exist, one day pearls will stop being generated.

So therefore, Bitcoin is like digital pearls rather than digital gold which is incredibly abundant and will continue the be created as long as stars big enough exist.

He's right though, as long as civilisation isn't wiped out I believe Bitcoin is the future of money.

Even if the governments force stable coins on us those stablecoins will be backed by Bitcoin.

USDT would be backed by Bitcoin instead of USD etc.

I'm glad it's still early.

I beat myself up about losing interest for years but now my focus is back on Bitcoin, this time for the right reasons.

Younger Kayne was only interested in Bitcoin to begin with because you could buy all these crazy drugs that weren't locally available on tor through various websites using Bitcoins.

Sometimes I think about how many acres I could buy now if I had held onto what I had, even if I only bought half as much of the drugs.

Gotta stay humble and stack sats a little at a time and just play the long game and watch the debt back national currency steadily decline until Bitcoin is accepted as the global reserve currency and I, or my descendants will still probably end up being part of the new privileged class in society that already had sats before Bitcoin became the new global reserve currency.

Its over, we won. Now buckle up, we got a octopus to slay

Ha, I remember this clip, I always thought he was talking, and looking strangely Tony Starkish.

Sam and Jay Dyer (one of the writers on the Sam Hyde Show) are doing a good job evangelizing BTC and getting people to HODL

1000s of hours of bitcoin data have been downloaded to my brain over the years...not sure if I've heard this analogy, even from the master analogizer Saylor. Good stuff here, really good 👍

Yeah I loved the day I heard of Bitcoin as a schelling point

Makes so much sense

Yet another lens to view it through that increases conviction

Dang, that's epic. I know my friends have been interested in him recently and he's taken them by surprise by actually speaking about things in a serious manner. I know he's been keen on Bitcoin now for a while. Cool to hear this from him.
