When you enter seed phrase to transfer for stamping, which device can see your private key isn’t it compromised?
Discussion
The seedsigner hardware with the SeedHammer OS needs to know your seed, cause it works as controller for the engraving machine. The machine only has a psi and a cnc stepper driver installed.. But as the ss hardware is airgapped and has no means of communication via Bluetooth or wlan, I don’t see a problem with that. Also before entering or scanning a seed the Ui demands you to extract the sd card with the Software on it - wich i think is neat.
So is the seed potentially cached/stored somewhere on the SeedHammer hardware? I know that’s why people are still careful with offline (paper) printers
Can’t jet figure out where or how, meaning I don’t think so. I’m also mostly curious about the thing… and I want to design a version made from self sourceable standard parts…
