GM! Absolutely. Children are a powerful reminder, but really, it’s the future of all living beings that calls us to think with low time preference. Whether it’s our kids, ecosystems, or communities yet to come, long-term thinking is an act of care—for life we may never meet, but still have the power to impact.

A while back, I was working at a high growth fintech startup.
I was having a conversation about fiat and bitcoin with the CTO, who doesn’t have kids.
I tried explaining to him that when you have kids, you suddenly deeply care about what the world is like in 50 years.
He didn’t get it at all and is continuing his fiat games 🤷
