They used to put this thymerisol in saline solution for people that use contacts. It was miserable crap, stings the eyes for hours. After using it for a few months I couldn't wear contacts ever again, even after going back to old-style pressurized sailine, and this after wearing them for almost 20 years. It permanently screwed up my corneas.
