I hate bed sheets. Considering duvet-only. Any ideas?

why hate

Dude, best sheets ever. No joke.

I clean my sheets every 5 days. They have to stay crisp or I just can’t sleep.

Flat sheets are trash

Brooklinen makes some decent sheets n such…

What's your setup?

Down pillows (not brooklinen) & comforter, cotton duvet, fitted bed sheet and pillowcases…

Saving up for a nice mattress probably gonna go with wool in the long run…

I also really like their towels…

That is the idea. Do it. Flat sheets are dumb.

Going duvet w duvet-cover, a coverlet (additional top layer), and a quilt (heavier top layer).

My days of wrestling with a faggotty top sheet are over. Can't believe I suffered through it that long.

The quilts are brilliant. When we were in Italy they just add quilts depending on the cold so we started picking up nice ones from thrift stores after moving north.

I love this scene except for the duvet analogy and misrepresentation as a “comforter”. I think they could have been more clever. It’s stood out since I first watched the film. I wonder if the book is the same. I knew what a duvet was at the time because I’d used them abroad and found them superior to flat sheet/blankets. I also knew fancy Americans who bought awful velvet duvet covers and put comforters in them.

In my head, a good duvet/cover is the most humble, homesteady things you can own and look after. Freshly outdoor aired duvets bring you closer to heaven 🙏

Muslin cotton duvet cover = cozy, easy to wash, dry in machine, and dont care about wrinkles.

I suspect elite.

Just got wool blankets for the family. One King, Queen and three twins.

Nice linen or cotton sheets are on the next list.

Linen? It’s the only ones I find tollerable

Oh you are somewhere where it’s cold, I sleep with a sheet only most of the year. When I lived somewhere with winter just ditch the top sheet for sure. Get a duvet with some awesome natural fabric of choice.
