The second I take my case off I drop my phone face down on a rock and can’t read my phone anymore. It’s happened like 3 times. Haha.
I only use it for very special occasions. It's my favorite piece of jewelry and I don't want it getting scuffed up. Sorry bro.
Bro, no cover - phones just slip. Some of us ain’t that rich. Simple cover keeps the phone from slipping. They prob make them slippery on purpose.

I’ve broken lots of crystal wine glasses including Lalique, fine China, and god only knows what else.
I feel sad for as long as it takes to say to myself, “if you’re not going to use it, why make room for it?”

There’s a not so subtle difference between neurotically trying to keep something in pristine condition and taking good care of it.

It's because my phone has a rubber case that I don't worry about damaging it.
When money is no object and replacing the device is less of an issue than dealing with wrapping it in rubber.
There is also another train of thought. You don’t have to be rich, just pragmatic and if you’re going to make that kind of purchase, grabbing insurance for it is a logical move. Then you may be a bit more cavalier, knowing that it’s covered.

So true. Growing up I loved collecting sneakers but they had no resale value because I would always wear them until they got worn out. Never got to deep in sneaker culture, but the idea of never wearing a pair of kicks you loved seemed insane to me.
My friend knew of a guitar player who upon buying a new guitar would immediately take a quarter and put a huge scratch on the back. No one would know, but if anything ever happened, it likely wouldn’t be the worse thing I like that.
Saying that, I also think caring for the things you own is critical, and I question those who don’t. It is usually a sign that they treat many things with less care than they deserve.

Everyday I used to walk by this graffiti that was in an alley by where I worked. It simply said “Everything Ends”. I’ve never forgotten that
