Rare photos of Bitcoin mining in Bhutan

Amazing how a tiny land footprint, no eWaste (all rigs are recycled), no water footprint + 100% renewable energy just contributed 40% of Bhutan's GDP, funds environmental and infrastructure initiatives such as their airport rebuild. They even used Bitcoin to raise the salaries of govt workers by 50-65%

Any country with surplus energy can copy from Bhutan's playbook, but I'm happy its nations like Bhutan, El Salvador, Paraguay, Ethiopia who are discovering this first because it's helping to address global wealth inequality one nation at a time.

Thanks for sharing this kind of information!

Hey Daniel, do you also go directly to developing governments to promote btc mining to them, or you "only" write articles?

Just a curiosity of mine, or maybe you now of ppl/association that actively pitch btc mining to developing countries

Good question. I’m not currently pitching bitcoin mining to nation states directly. But there are a few people who are, and I work with some of them to support them, sometimes helping them with some key data, sometimes helping with the message, and sometime coaching them on the other aspects required running their mission and having impact.

this is what they are blocking you from the internet for

something they don’t want you to see
