You’ve Been Lied to About the Middle East.

This Didn’t Start on October 7and Before You Pick a Side, Watch What They Won’t Show You.

#Israel = democracy.

#Palestine = terrorism.

#Lebanon = chaos.

Rinse, repeat.

But that script was written decades ago.

Before Hamas. Before Hezbollah.

Before the word “terrorist” became a political utility.

The reality?

Borders were drawn by colonial clerks.

Occupations were sold as “defense.”

And resistance was rebranded as extremism, because that’s how you keep your client states in check.

The West doesn’t report the Middle East. It curates it.

Burning bodies are cropped out.

Checkpoints, sieges, airstrikes: downplayed, deflected, denied.

Instead: “clashes.” “Retaliation.” “Both sides.”

I grew up hearing this noise.

Then I watched bombs fall 3 minutes from my house.

This isn’t about justifying violence.

It’s about exposing how narratives are engineered to excuse it.

Because if you don’t understand the story’s author, you’ll never understand the plot.

So no. this didn’t “start” on October 7 2024.

It started when land was taken, voices were silenced, and suffering was made invisible, unless it served the right flag.

And despite all that, I’m grateful.

Grateful for #Nostr.

Grateful that many of us in the #Bitcoin community are awake, unplugged from the corporate dripfeed, sharing what actually matters.

Not just doomscrolling. Translating. Remembering. Passing it on.

Because truth isn’t viral by default. People make it viral.
