What is this for?
After watching Peter Thiel in the Joe Rogan podcast I thought about his reflection on the slow development of technology in the world of atoms in comparison to the world of bits.
He compares the excitement for the future in the 70s and 80s
- ultra sonic jets
- high speed highways
- new medicines
- Etc
The world of bits have taken our attention from the world of atoms.
So how can we leverage the development of our world of atoms with the products and services available in the world of bits?
Social media been run by big tech have zero incentives for us to stick our eye balls from their feeds, but nostr don’t.
Nostr is able to provide an information infrastructure to share knowledge, manage projects and finance the R&D of the future of the world of atoms.
I think this is a good place to start to better our future and from the ones who surround us.
What do you have in mind with this piece of technology?
Well, in Chile is mandatory to save 7% of your net income in a private pension fund and you can’t take it out from it.
Not saying that it’s the best option, but is better than asking the state to pay for pensions.
Degrees, used to be scarce and now everyone can have one.
Math, engineering and medicine are hard to get, but still there are more engineers in the world than in the XX century.
There is value in learning how to think and how to approach a problem, either is learned IRL experience or in an institution.
If going to an institution is the preferred option to learn this, doesn’t really matter what is the discipline.
If you think about it, every first time is like finding out that something exists and that is exciting.
A year ago when I discovered nostr it amazed me what it could be, now is something else but have zero excitement about it.
A wow moment for someone who gets introduce to TikTok is it’s fast response + the accuracy to find content you like whenever you stick your eyeballs to the screen for more than x seconds.
I think for new users in this protocol might be the availability to use other apps with 1 pair of keys. Apps that showcase their value added to leverage the user experience to a point that you have to be stupid not to use it.
