I have no dog in this fight and I feel like I am not qualified to really pick a side but it is rare that I hear a conversation about the topic that doesn't sound insane to me. This is that. Not insane. Rational and not emotional. Using the principles of libertarian thought in this conflict. If you are bringing your own prejudices to this you'll likely be angry but maybe that's good. I will add that I have yet to meet a person face to face that knows enough about the situation to have much of an informed position but that sure doesn't stop anyone.

LOL. You know most lightning nodes run on general purpose computers right? Likely your transactions travel through these devices from time to time.
I think the people on the board of an organization matter. But, this does not mean Signal the software project is not secure. It could mean that is at risk. Many tools can be used for ideological reasons. Encryption is for enemies. Very little in this article was new to me. I see many people who seem to think that now that they know some oftohe people on the board that they need to switch communication apps. I would ask you, what is your criteria? Is it the people? Do you actually know the devs behind the software you use? If you stop using Signal because of this, why did you start using it? Because Snowden? Think about it.

If there is any part of the world that needs bitcoin its the poor nations of the world which have been taken advantage of by fiat currency nations for decades. Its these unbanked people that need bitcoin the most. MMT polices hurt these people the most yet they have the nerve to suggest bitcoin is bad for them simply because they didn't get in soon enough...
Not sure if they've noticed but none of us got into fiat soon enough. Not sure they've checked the distribution of wealth and power in fiat land. It isn't pretty.
