Nothing stops relays from deleting whatever. Therefore why shouldn't the protocol support delete by npubs.
I tend to agree. I haven't thought through it enough but here's another aspect.
Relays can already delete/block/censor any npub they want. Allowing the key holder to delete their own notes doesn't seem to provide much of any benefit on the censorship resistance side.
The censorship resistance of Nostr is more about there being many relays coupled with the signing of messages allowing for more privacy than having a centralized ID system.

As an engineer... stuff happens. I find it highly unlikely that this was done on purpose with the limited info I've seen. Far more likely a technical bug. What am I missing? Why would the exchange fake a price drop? What is there to gain vs. lose if it was done on accident. Honestly surprised this stuff doesn't happen more often. Software is buggy.
The real challenge is file hosting that is censorship resistant and perfomant. Satalite seems to be the onlything that is offering asolutuion. Then more clients can really focus on media experiences.

For most politics and government (the state) are a religion. When someone expresses opposition to the state's authority or legitimacy most balk. Many are afraid. Its like trying to explain water to a fish. You see this in the reactions to J6.
You see it when people burn a flag. You see it when people call taxation theft. You see it when people question democracy. Its the same reaction I've seen from religious people when their religion is question or attacked. The same defensiveness.
I'm not advocating for anything but many years ago I had my eyes opened to the fact that I was one of these people. While I would say Jesus is my Lord and King most of my hope was placed in political power, the and the Constitution. I saw this because it was more of a focus on my thoughts than the Scriptures I said I believed.
