This is not how you deal with scammers, NEVER let them know that you caught on to them, and don't tell them to stop doing it, they won't, no matter how much you shame them or preach to them..

It's their side hustle because it makes them an extra buck, if you're smart or lucky.. others aren't, so what you should do is waste their time, the more of their time you waste, the more victims you're saving.. play dumb, entertain the convo, "talk about yourself more"..

This is how you really beat scammers, blocking them or letting them know their own intentions!! just makes their jobs easier.

I can't wait for the day they'll be ready, also honorable mention: #DeltaChat (I use daily to send stuff from desktop to phone -vice versa-)

I stopped watching Marvel after phase 4 ended, they didn't have anything new to offer which what leads people superhero fatigue (I did enjoy the Punisher and Daredevil :D)

hate comes from critics being loud and having so much influence, yes.. they do make good point a lot of times.. which boils down to: "focus on the story telling not what the audience feelings"

Ultimately, when I shut down my brain from trying to look for flaws in any show.. I'll enjoy it.. I watched the entire first season of Solo Leveling and I enjoyed it.. despite the poor story and character build up.

> I like Daredevil too :)

the guy who was about to speak next, doesn't seem trustworthy at all, if he is and I'm just being a jerk.. then why is he doing the villain pose and the bored disregarding eye movement? the guy on his left seemed focused and interested notice how he shifts his body to face him while he speaks.. sometimes reading body language can tell you who's likely to be your ally.. just saying.

Philosophy is the thinking that help us figure out a suitable lifestyle for us. (Individually and collectively)

Politics is debating which lifestyle must be applied to all.

Are you a philosopher or a politician?

Exactly, it gives the illusion of content ownership for the creator, but the biggest beneficiary is platform/studio..etc

Upload your content to proprietary platforms, they claim ownership over it so they can go after anyone who uses it without your consent, sounds good on paper, until you realize it's all part of their ad driven business plan.

a good example of this is Facebook and IG (useless) share button, what's the point of sharing from these platforms if people have to sign up to view that content.. so what you notice is that the most vocal platforms about content ownership are the most locked down ones, the ones that hold their creators and consumers as hostages, and the irony is that these platforms can license your content to third parties whenever they wish

on Spotify this recorded segment plays after (or before) random songs: "ads help us pay the artist you love.." πŸ™„πŸ˜’.. seriously you pay artists a fraction of cent for each ad which requires surveillance for the ad machine to work.. it's a system that doesn't care about how much stuff it breaks as long as there's money to be made, (for the people who own the platform, not the creators of course)

copyleft solves this, it frees information while giving creators an ethical way of monetizing their work. (I'll write a post about it)

#Copyright is the DUMBEST thing I ever heard in my entire life 😀

Visit https://emojito.meme/ you can create your own nostr custom emoji packs or add existing ones and then depending nostr client you use, you can react with them and/or add them to your notes like this :Boppop: . In case this doesn't render as custom emojis for your client, it is the way emoji is published to be displayed.

Oh yes... That's exactly what I'm talking about πŸ€“πŸ˜Έ

Mastodon has all kinds of emojis and even animated emojis (from distro logos to memes), they're so cool..

I think #nostr should copy that.. Idk how.. but they should

The entire drama that you see in the Linux and Open source world.. well, actually I take that back.. Most of it.. is started and amplified by state funded and/or affiliated provocateurs, they come like sharks that smell blood, and the result as we have seen over and over again is a bloody mess.. people end up devided, projects weakened, and generally nothing stays the same after that.. you could feel that the projects that went thru drama, has started to wear this corporate cloak, heck.. It's worse than that.. they start acting like a 'political party that decided to start making software'.

If I was the government, this is exactly where I want these "free software" developers and their communities to be, their belief in me is above their belief in what they're doing, I (the state) made them believe in two fundamentally contradicting ideas, that's why they will never trully make software that threatens my control, despite me being the inferior idea, despite me relying on violence to exist, despite me deviding them, manipulating them, lying to them, and when they do make software that threatens me, due process be damned, hunt them across borders and throw them in jail. It's really sad.. the software they're making can make a change, their vote doesn't and they argue over the later..

Now back to the main point.. these sharks that start biting on git and forums spaces, notice how they make things personal.. notice how they leverage the things that *they know* divides people, they focus on that, and they amplify it, and they absolutely HATE IT when a voice tries to bring the community together.. I can give a couple of examples: DistroTube, they tried to cancel him before but it didn't take off, when he showed his guns.. he's now suddenly a far right extremist, crusader.. whatever nonsense they were saying... even someone like Brodie, they dug thru his past, de-anonymized him, and showed what?? a 17yo.. being a 17yo, saying some dumb shit.. they also showed that he was trying to hide his past once he started getting famous.. you got to appreciate their argumentative skills.. btw I don't like Brodie's channel.. I don't like his voice, but I can see what's going on, he brings people together despite their political views and their identities.. shall we say, he listens to all sides, and chances are.. all sides listen to him.. (I'm talking about his second channel Tech Over Tea in case you're lost)

the bottom line is: be very SKEPTICAL of the voices that try to divide, they're stealthy like scorpions, they will tell you: Oh, look person X said something bad.. he's a terrible person and his project too, and Yeah... maybe it's a bad take.. But step two is where they manipulate most people, they apply peer pressure to get you to subscribe to the protest, usually by shaming you if you don't.. I say "umm I think we're overreacting" and I get shamed.. Of course there is the reverse tactic.. they might say something like: "Hey, I'm just throwing this out there and you do you" .. yeah still shaming.. just without pressure

They're so hard to detect, because they use valid reasons.. as a disguise for their true intention, to bring a project to become political, once that happens, it's no longer a threat to the government, it's no longer Free software, it's political software Aka State software.

#Google looked at the fact that people can use Android without ever needing to link their entire devices to a Google Account which is just a fansy way of saying Google ID, and thought.. well.. time to end sideloading by requiring developers to register to new platform submit their #government ID and pay a fee as well (i know right!πŸ–•), link all the IDs of their apps so then their apps can be sideloaded to Android by users

This is not about security, this is about ending people ability to not be linked, I have set up people's devices to be more private and secure without ever needing a Google account, in fact I told people.. many people I met.. you don't need to have a Google account just so you can download apps

I used #Fdroid, nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgzqtdq0 and Aurora, enabled private DNS with Mullvad, used #DuckDuckGo Tracking Protection (it takes the #VPN slot), disabled all telemetry settings and sometimes i even deboat their ROMs with Adb.. It makes their phones usable (no on screen ads), less bloated, less power hungry.. people often ask me? well what about my Gmail account or Yahoo or whatever? Here's the solution: Fairmail

with this upcoming change, even if the user turns on: allow installing from unknown sources, their sideloaded app will not install because the developer hasn't verified themselves with Google and paid them for the privilege to do so πŸ™„πŸ€¬πŸ˜Ύ, the Os will just refuse to install it

This can be mitigated with a custom ROM, but c'mon how many people have the technical know how? I'm a nerd and LineageOS wiki still scares me..

Also, custom ROM support is slowly fading in the Market, Evil companies like #Samsung and #Xiaomi go out of their way to lock the boatloader.. and completely remove alternative OS support
