Greetings Earthling. Former Nuclear Engineer Former software developer Homesteader/pilot

You are most likely correct.

Some concerns:

1. Relay scalability

2. Relay monetization

So the cost of relays must be offset by something because no one will run a large relay at a loss indefinitely.

Brilliant ! Like the FIRE movement we need a 10% movement with a good catchy name and branding.

Something like BTC 10 for 10…

This is looking interesting, but not ready for use.

Ok here goes:

1.think of your lightning wallet as your “bill fold” you carry only a small amount of cash(cash for the weekend, or night out), DON’T KEEP MUCH HERE, like $100 -$200 just like a bill fold, rug pull won’t affect much.

2. Think of your “software” self-custody wallet as your checking account. This could be something like “brave wallet” or coinbase wallet. But must be self custody. Keep a month or so salary here.

3.think of your hardware/cold storage as your savings account. This is your NEST EGG.

If you think that way, fees/convenience dominate the lightning wallet choice. And just like loosing your billfold (it sucks) but won’t affect your destiny.

Features/convenience dominate the “software” wallet. This wallet is self custody and keeps a month or so of working cash. Typically hooked up to an exchange for moving coin in and out, and sending to your LN wallet.

security dominates the cold storage wallet decision (e.g. multi-sig air-gap multi-vender etc…

The north west loop has some of the coolest architecture. This building looks like it is balanced on an edge.

The current monetary system is broke more severely for people that don’t understand modern money mechanics. The great cabal has set up a system where to get rich you must first incur great debt. Be a slave to that debt for many years, then pay that debt off with cheaper dollars later, passing debt burden to the next generation.

Remember the dollar looses >3% of its value every single year. And this will go on as long governments control the money supply

I would by the Bitcoin now, and 2 garages later.

You haven’t even begun to talk about the cost of kids.

Maybe we can start that conversation tomorrow.

Other option don’t upgrade. I am still using 1.4.3.

And I can still #zap from notes.

I just bought the domain bitcoinstr.us because of this feature.

#video couple of videos to hear the engine VOLUME UP!

The Wright R-3350 Duplex-Cyclone is an American twin-row, supercharged, air-cooled, radial aircraft engine with 18 cylinders displacing nearly 3,350 cubic inches (54.9 L) and power ranging from 2,200 to over 3,700 hp (1,640 to 2,760 kW), depending on the model. Developed before World War II, the R-3350's design required a long time to mature before finally being used to power the Boeing B-29 Superfortress https://nostr.build/av/3ef409802ac8d86eb82d8ecb43884be0391e1953208f2c6f2d55a6fb775a5575.mov https://nostr.build/av/1c4e2fd0064e71dfb99813bdb9a5e75250c8c45b04710c5e35a02c2db90d3e5d.mov

#[3] Thanks for the Zeus info! using this looks like a bigger effort, bookmarking this for later… will come back to it. Currently saturated in project overload mode.

Your missing the point. And keep in mind your talking to a guy that lost his shirt on Mt Gox:

Just one thought:

1.think of your lightning wallet as your “bill fold” you carry only a small amount of cash(cash for the weekend, or night out), rug pull won’t affect much.

2. Think of your “software” self-custody wallet as your checking account.

i notice that both of you use getalby at least to receive bitcoin from nostr.

bitcoinrocks@getalby.com

yegorpetrov@getalby.com

from what i can tell that is custodial unless you are running your own lightning node. running a lightning node is way beyond the scope of 99.999% of society a good 5 standard deviations outside the norm.

currently NONE of the SELF custody wallets are allowed as lightning addresses on damus or primal.

I USE WOS to receive and breez to send.

Awesome! You’ve had some great conversations.
