Woah!!!!! Now that’s perspective ⚡️

Weather! Hot!!!!!!!
Get a place with aircon for Nov/Dec/Jan-April.
Humidity builds through dry season usually and can be a lot.
Rainy season can be intense, depends on how adventurous you are, I love it as everything’s so tranquilo with great clear periods.
Wowsers, I like a serious trip research mission 💪
I can only speak for Nosara, which is the most expensive location in Costa Rica apparently, so everything here hinges on the when question (plus how long).
Nov: Start of high/dry season. Might be possible to find a nice 1 bed in great location for around $2k p/month.
Dec: Gets harder as you get towards Xmas (Xmas week is peak week- lucky to find literally anything), then everything remains in high season gear into Jan-March period.
Look on VRBO or Airbnb for ballpark rentals.
If you want longer period (months rather than weeks) then ask me to hook you into town WhatsApp groups directly.
Groceries: generally very pricey, BUT if you enjoy cooking at home you can get great quality, affordable produce from the weekly town market. Local foods are reasonable cost (e.g. great ‘Casado’ meal around $10).
Transport: Better to have quad/motorcycle/car to make the most of the area (tuk tuk taxi is possible, so you could do periods of vehicle hire). Depending on season, vehicle hire is easy enough.
Defo possible to buy new motorcycle/quad in town & sell on when leaving.
The CR tourist visa is 6 months.
Must show country exit ticket at immigration, but you can just go in/out of Nica etc for the day to renew.
WiFi- variable to good. Many people have 2x systems to mitigate for problems but if this is a deal breaker you could bring own starlink or join co-working space.
Big power outages do happen from time to time.
😅 I think that’s it? Lmk
How does one boost a post #newbie here lol
From ‘Caminante No Hay Camino’ 🤍 I remind myself of this often

nostr:npub14f26g7dddy6dpltc70da3pg4e5w2p4apzzqjuugnsr2ema6e3y6s2xv7lu we wanna visit your neck of the woods in October, any tips?
Stay in Uvita? Dominical? Where can we catch the most digital freedom geek vibe?
Gracias. Pura Vida x
Ya’ll want Nostr Lyn to write a sci fi novel in whatever spare time she has, or get back to finance?
Sci fi dystopian human future where fiat collapses so we can all model the potential ways in which to weather the storm 😜
Enjoy your off time. Thank you for the positive energy ⚡️
Good Morning from green season here in the jungle.

I’ve started doing squats again after 15+ years off- it hurts so good 😅
Nut butter + honey + cacao + yoghurt 😋
Thank you, I’m just working this out.
I want to see what’s out there without getting a load of trash on my feed in future times 🙏
I truly appreciate the excitement of decentralised, non censorship here…And I’m also wondering about how to filter my feed when things blow up big and develop beyond a good natured grass roots community vibe?
Genuine inquiry: am I missing the point? Or can I select my personal version of freedom?
