For me, it's the other way around. An incredible amount of lies and bullshit has been spread by others. And now people are pissed off that the lies don't get confirmed. Everyone was massively engaged in the abuse when they still had "hopes", and when the lies were uncovered they quietly cowered away or continue the abuse as if another story/explanation will just magically pop up if they try hard enough.

Interesting. This is also interesting in another way: that of being challenged to lie. I have had to deal with a lot lately, where there is the claim that "he who speaks the truth has no friends" kind of accusations. This fits perfectly in this category of manipulation.

I've been bothered by the fact that so few have noticed that actually openly declaring that a political candidate for presidency is "a perceived risk" therefore (ab)using the law to interfere with his ability to run for president is blatant interference with democracy.

I mean, yeah obviously there some intuition and bad feels about the whole thing, but it is essentially full-on undermining of democracy in the open, and it is treated far from it.

What the Israeli government is doing to the Palestinian people is nothing but genocide, ethnic cleansing and apartheid.

As far as “parroting what I heard” goes, I think that’s disrespectful and you frankly have exactly zero clue how much I have read or heard about it, and that comment isn’t even meaningful, because all anyone does is take in information and then draw a conclusion. The attempt is nothing more than an insult without meaning. You believe your opinion to be informed, and because it differs from mine, mine is therefore UNinformed.

Thanks for your input, but there’s no real way to engage with how you responded because you already know everything about me and my thoughts due to this imaginary person in your head with a lengthy set of beliefs who has nothing to do with me. I can’t argue for that person, and it’s hard to have a conversation that starts with that much baggage.
