Oh! I'm curious to hear more of your thoughts on Lua.
I'm now considering embedding a sandboxed, IO-less, computation-budgeted scripting language, and Lua crossed my mind, since it was motivated by embedding. But... I don't actually have any experience with it.

Can goodreads be better? Sure! Do I have laundry list of specific things that can be better? I do!
However, as I read this article, the reaction that kept reoccurring in my head to every objection the author raised is
"That is a _you_ problem!"
I look down on those that share uncleansed URLs like those not washing their hands after using a bathroom.
Would be interesting to see the profit distributions within. My hunch is that it is approaching winner-takes-all.
What is "good"?
