Living on bitcoin today means
1. Going into a shop and declaring your bitcoin loyalty.
2. Having a bunch of plebs dox themselves in public so they can rally to your call.
3. Asking the plebs to go an buy an item you want from the shop, using their own filthy fiat.
4. Buying the same item from them seconds later, by zapping them the equivalent in sats, plus a mark up incentive for doing the deed and providing you with in-shop liquidity.
5. Walking out of the shop and shitposting about how you live on bitcoin, hoping you didn't just break your own opsec rules and attract unwanted attention (or wrenches).
6. Merchant takes interest in what just happened and jumps down the rabbit hole.
7. Weeks later you come by the shop again ready to declare, but stop short when you see the 'bitcoin accepted here' sign.
8. Plebs relieved they don't have to be your middleman
9. Live happily ever after (fade to bitcoin sunset and mushy music).
I'm happy that crypto traders turn their attention to ether.
Here's to the "good boi" aficionados.

I remember smash buying at 3k while on a long haul flight, because Boredom+WiFi+YOLO = Impulse Stack
How do you cope with profilicity?
Having different online personas for your different passions and obligations?
Corporate, personal, and nym?
This multiple online personality syndrome is doing my head in, but I don't know whether to go full personal brand, full nym, or full schizo. I need to up by corporate blah blah game for the fiat mine, so that's got me thinking.

Make this a motivational wallpaper asap π₯
Each month I go to market and buy me a package of satoshis to take home. Each month they take the same amount of fiat but give me less and less satoshis in return.
The shrinkflation is real.

NGU is emotional and psychological validation, a proxy for "we're winning" against the shape-shifting levithian. We like big numbers to flash up so that we can enjoy a few minutes of smug euphoria and then, we like smaller numbers again so that we can continue hoarding. Personally, I blame Satoshi, it's both peer-to-peer electronic cash and destroyer of worlds :-)
This account is raising the excitement level about GraphenOS, and all the development behind the scenes that means we stay one step ahead of Google's tinkering, and continue to enjoy our degoogled oasis. Glad I can get my news here.
π₯ Hello again, new #GrapheneOS Update 2024022600. This time we have a new security feature that's been worked on for a while: USB-C Port Security. This is a significant security enhancement.
This feature allows users of Tensor Pixels (6 and later) to have fine grained controls on USB controller functionality including totally disabling data lines or the port when the OS is in use.
There are 5 modes:
- On (current)
- Charging-only when locked except in BFU (before first-unlock)
- Charging-only when locked
- Charging-only
- Off (which even disables charging while booted into the normal OS mode).
This is different from the previous existing USB control features including the Android 12 USB HAL toggle which only disable high-level kernel functionality which still left all the low-level kernel driver, USB protocol and USB controller attack surface enabled.
Other changelogs:
- kernel (5.10, 5.15): add support for ignoring USB alt modes
- kernel (Tensor Pixels): extend max77759 USB-C controller driver used by Tensor Pixels with support for a sysfs node providing fine-grained control over the USB-C data path at the USB controller level
- Setup Wizard: fix crash for SIM locales not recognized by com.android.internal.app.LocalePicker

Pronounced "Vinduk" :-)
Ahhh... like chlorine to my eyes π
Relax. Copilot just heard about your problem and is here to fix it.

Started playing.
Clean and simple interface.
Felt like it burned credit too quickly. I asked questions about nostr. If it gave me a couple of lines answer it took 2Β’... a bit longer, 5Β’. Made me hesitant to keep refining my question or get into flowing conversation.
At the same time I can see the appeal on your side for sats flow π
Ain't that right, nostr:npub1sqaxzwvh5fhgw9q3d7v658ucapvfeds3dcd2587fcwyesn7dnwuqt2r45v?
I am opening the gates of hell for editable kind1 clients. Two options:
Nostr as a protocol will be fine.
But I'm sad that this is coming to the social experience.
Still if anyone was going to open the gates of hell, it was going to be Vitor.
What are these farmers protesting for?
I was cheering the Dutch but I became more cynical after learning what the French were protesting. I want a future with farms not cricket flour, but I also want less poison coming out of the farms.
Hi Victor,
Still developing my thoughts on this so maybe premature. We were so long without an edit button on twitter that the pendulum has swung the other way, community editing of your posts.
Can't figure out if it's creepy dystopian ministry of truth stuff or if it's freedom tech genius.
Like GPTs, and Google before them, human agency is not taken away, but rather worn down bit by bit as you give up striving to lead and let the thing you're striving with take over. Google did this very slowly, pace you while you think you're in control, then start leading you as you abdicate the thinking process in favour of convenience, acceptance, excitement, or whatever. We're now adapting to gpts at the point where we get exhausted with prompt engineering and retraining, and just start accepting the outputs bias and all... even letting it tell us what a better question would be, and silly me for having an original thought or curiousity in the first place.
Now I can write something freely and send it here, transmitted by relays no less. You add fork functionality. At first my fellow plebs help me out with forked edits and I feel some agency in filtering each one. Then the volume ticks up and maybe if my thoughts are more controversial I attract some bots (human or algorithmic) who edit hard and fast to nudge my thinking, my phrasing, my acceptable speech constrained within the appointed overton window... and at some point I give in, exhausted, and start accepting the changes so that my edited thoughts might still be heard while my original ones die in the darkness.
Eventually the majority demand auto merge as a convenience to remove friction and ensure the highest note velocity through the network, guaranteed through prior community editing.
Welcome back to 1984.
I see this is such an easy attack vector on an emerging freedom tech, but as I'm not a dev with skin in the game, my opinion is just an opinion.
