I don't believe anyone at costco has this motivation. I'm perfectly willing to assume "studies" professors "researching" intersectional "theory" and alike are fully malicious, but I think a lot of business folks just genuinely buy their own propaganda.
This isn't Harley Davidson committing to make 100% electric vehicles by 2035 or Gillette trying to sell razors to guys by running ads about how much guys suck. Costco has always had a rock-solid value prop and they've never taken out ads to tell me they hate me. 🤷♀️ whatever they're doing seems to be working as far as I can tell, I'm not mad their board said they're sticking with the status quo.
On the substance, I don't find either the 64 civil rights act or anti dei laws particularly credible in light of the freedom of association guaranteed in the first amendment. Companies should be free to not hire the best employees if they want to, and let the market smack them around for it.

You can get a mattress protector to put around it that will block all of that for pretty cheap and see if it makes a difference.

They kept the murder charges pending for over 3 years after his initial conviction. Coincidentally they waited until after his scotus challenge to being sentenced for crimes he wasn't convicted of was denied. That's wierd, but as long as the investigation was 'open' they could deny his lawyers access to the material. All just an honest day's work for very noble and upstanding federal prosecutors, I'm sure.
...And btw, if those transcripts were so airtight, why did they drop those charges??? 🤔 Curious.
