So let's say worst case scenario, all the banks collapse catastrophically and the dollar, euro, pound etc become worthless overnight.
From the ashes people would need an alternative currency, the usage of Bitcoin would go parabolic overnight, there would be no outside price attached to Bitcoin because 1 Bitcoin would be worth 1 Bitcoin.
