Mirlo had open sourced, jam.coop had not. Seemed like the obvious contender. But a closer look quickly reveals their entire model is based on becoming an authority and centralized growth: you can't do shit with their code except scrutinizing it. I also suspect most of their proponent don't understand the coop is purely for the Mirlo staff. Last time i checked, the musicians creating the value weren't even in the cards. I'm really tired of organizations putting themselves between the crowd and artists. The latest trick is to call yourself "ethical" and create a coop instead of an LTD.

Mirlo isn't filling a need (lowering entry barriers to publication) they're gatekeeping the knowledge and experience it takes for sovereign publication. Also they seem to hate Bitcoin and will happily pile on you for even suggesting that it could be a useful tool to musicians, quoting shit from the fed playbook in smirk and typical passive-aggressive "good lucks" wishes :D

You can also choose to manually push that same feed to any other service you like such as antennapod. It really depends on what your goal is in terms of how far and where you want to spread your content.
