I was curious.
I had never heard of it prior to April this year. Gave it a try and loved it!
I was homeschooled all the way from k5 to 12th grade. my biggest lesson I learned was how to find answers to problems on my own. I didn't even realize it was a skill I developed until college. I didn't have a teacher for math. it was just a book and the answer key. I would redo the problems I got wrong on a test/quiz until I figured out how to get the right answer. that has translated very well for me in college and in my professional career.
I also loved getting all my work done in 4 hours haha. I played a little to much world of Warcraft in high school 🤗😆
a tip I got from elsewhere that really helped me was to make the things you want to do more convenient than the things you don't want to do. Small changes such as leaving books out in easy to read places and putting my phone charger in a room other than my bedroom made a dramatic improvement on reshaping my habits.
ok so we are all boomers on nostr 🤣
I have seen a lot more recently as well but I have just attributed it to them finally having the orders shipped.
interesting, I have not thought about using it that one before. really cool!
wow that is incredible!
good morning! hope everyone's day is getting off to a great start!
I don't really tire of a specific trope, but i do cringe when I encounter poor presentations of them. Make me care for the characters or about the situation they find themselves in and any trope can be exciting.
I prayed before I even saw the hashtag, hang in there!
path of exile and a small indie game called dwarven realms.
IDK about that haha. my youngest son has it and I mean he actually has it and not just boy energy.
Challenges with spatial awareness(multiple scars on his head from running into things) and his ability to focus for school have been pretty detrimental to him. the emotional regulation that comes with it is also tough to parent as well. He is an absolute joy and there are positives to it(such as his excitement towards things is contagious) but dang does it make it tough. He has 500% of my energy all day.
1. Mystery of Capitol by De Soto fundamental changed how I view the world.
2. Book of Job changed how I viewed tough times in life
3. Knowing God by J I Packer also changed my who life from the ground up
4. Lord of the Rings Trilogy changed my taste in story telling when I was young.
5. Mere Christianity by c s Lewis had a huge impact on myself at the time I read it.
first 5 that came to mind!
