What’s everyone’s game of choice these days? #gamestr
Discussion
Been playing some Satifactory since it hit 1.0 this week.
ohh that one looks cool. Been meaning to try it
This might delay some Damus updates 😅
Considering trying Factorio too. Similar concept but the gameplay feels very different
Same here love it
Doesn’t run well on linux :( which is weird since its a ue5 game
I keep a windows computer just for games
Luckily there are enough games that i like and keep my interest that work on linux so I can be free from windows: (osrs, no mans sky, cs2) i don’t have enough time to play games anyway so it works out.
How is CS2 and NMS running on linux?
cs2 is linux native, nms works in steam/proton
Unless you meant performance, they run fine
Yeah, meant performance. Important to get good performance in games like CS2.
GeForce now is a handy option for windows games, I tend to just sub for a month if there’s something I want to play, especially if pc isn’t up to spec for it or if just want to play on Mac if no native support.
Old school RuneScape

I just hit 92 mining. Half way there! *crys in pain*
Holy cow nice! Effin Monster
And you got fletching, that was my first 99 in 2007. I maxed that character on RS3. Ugh
yeah I was hitting 1mil xp/hr just by pressing a single x11 macro I made lol. it seems like its not against the rules so I went ahead and press a button for like 8 hours to get there
Nice!
And every other bot:
94 mining… nice chill activity while learning things on youtube

Probably not quite the type of game you meant but our family really enjoys cribbage
Hades or ace attorney
I got to the last boss in hades and died :( furthest I got. super fun game.
Once again I will say there is no better and more direct implementation of Bitcoin lightning into a game vs Sovereign Craft https://youtu.be/nZIiBV-Gwn8 the community is small but especially in Discord there's some good maxi plebs.
I'm thinking of doing a (playername)@minecraftstr.com with registration in game as verification. I own the domain.
In order of recency, No Man's Sky, Into the Breach and Judgment.
nice, played No Man's Sky last night!
Just got it with the recent sale. Talk about the comeback of the century
proud of my S-class freighter https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1849392314
Fallout 4 has been my obsession lately
Oh man I have like 20 days in that game
“15 more minutes”
Somehow always turns into 3 hours
For real. For me it’s settlement building. I’ve turned Starlight Drive In into Starlight City with skyscrapers, neon signs, a police department and hospital
Wait really? Fallout 4 has this? I'm gonna have to give it another look
Yeah I’ve spent a significant amount of time just building a little civilization in the ruins.
They introduce you to it in the story quests, it’s great to explore after you run out of other things to do. It’s a great way to make money in game too.
There are a lot of mods that expand what you can do with building. I recommend a mod that removes the build limit. My main settlement is probably 3 or 4x the default build limit.
Fallout 4 is seriously underrated. The only game I’ve spent more time on is Skyrim.
Are those mods available on console? I loathe rebooting my rig into Windows to play games and I recently acquired a PS5. Nice to sit on the couch vs spend more time at the desk
They are on Xbox. Sony are a bunch of soyboys when it comes to mods. PS5 should have some of the mods though.
I just have my gaming pc plugged into my TV and I use a wireless keyboard and mouse to get around the desktop, and then a controller in games.
It sounds like you are dual booted in Linux? You might be able to play using WINE and a couple other little things.
I had a laptop that was dual booted but I could never figure out how to get back into windows lol 🤣
Yahtzee with my grandma
I'm presently a bit stuck on the final boss of Final Fantasy 1
Not playing now, but this was one of my all-time favourite puzzlers.

Minecraft with the kids. I run a private server
awesome, I run one on my network for my son & I as well!
same. set up a Paper MC server on proxmox last week as a bit of a homeschool project. has been a massive hit
I run mine on Proxmox as well. I am thinking of moving it to Kubernetes just for fun.
I also have port forwarding through a VPS so the grandparents and cousins can all play together.
Make those memories. We have so many good ones from the things we have built and games we have played.
Control is really good. Don’t get to play games often but hopefully will get back to it soon
just replaying KH :heartless: for the thousandth time, but this time with my kid
now that I play fitgirl-repacks version of games I kinda miss hunting for achievements like plat trophies
While I'm against actually having an empire, I've always wanted to fly combat aircraft. Traditional HOTAS sims are okay, but VTOL VR is a multiplayer gem.
basketball
Starcraft2 - both campaigne and ladder :)
Hearthstone Battlegrounds with its unique composition builds each time
I’m still enjoying Diablo 4
Fortnite. Shhhhhh 🤫
If I had time for gaming, I would play Animal Well on the Switch or Black Myth Wikong or Astro Bot on the PS5.
Baldur’s Gate 3
Cult of the lamb is such a good single player game
A good ol game of pickleball
Satisfactory 1.0!
Dude there is just too much to do lol
I just got steel up and running and im working on some factory blueprints. Still bootstrapping my way up to how I build massive factorys. 😅
Dude I’m trying to complete phase 2 and it’s taking forever. I need PURE nodes 😂
I need to look into the blueprint feature I haven’t even checked that out
Blueprints are a fucking godsend, so for instance when I make a factory floor the way me and my friend play we have a standard layout which is one layer of foundation on top of that it's a layer of foundation of frame with a gap and then two more layers of foundational frame and a layer of flooring. And then underneath the layer of flooring, we do wall mounted power poles underneath the flooring because the wires can just clip through the floor.
That gives us a basic factory floor where we can run piping and conveyor belts through and have splitter sit in them without any problems. Materials are routed underneath while machines are on top.
We save that setup in a 4x4 blueprint, which costs a shitload of materials to build....buuut It makes for a nice organized factory floor That's easy to troubleshoot.
Damnnnn, I gotta get working on some blueprints
Satisfactory and Deadlock right now
Does Settlers of Catan count?
I hate New York times but Connections is the best game, after chess of course
Balder's Gate 3
Replaying Ghost of Tsushima, but on PC this time
Table tennis
Indoors? Mexican Train
“What can I do to disrupt the empire today?

ABOUT TO QUEUE UP WITH SBF AND PLAY SOME LEAGUE RN
BAR: Beyond All Reason is my current pick.
Specter Divide: fun blend of CS and Valorant in 3v3
Hades 1 & 2, Hollow Knight, Animal Well, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, The Talos Principle 2.
Caves of Qud.
Such an awesome and underrated game. I can't get anyone I know to play it. They take one look and just immediately get a thousand yard stare.
takes a special sort to get into it, certainly.
it was getting stoned to death by baboons that got me hooked.
Hahaha, yup, I think for me it was equipping my own decapitated face.
i have a build i call the Ogre Magi, a Marauder with Two-Headed and a bunch of AoE mental mutations, meant specifically to dismember and wear faces.
damn what a sweet game.
I remember jumping into a hole into some kind of toxic conveyer belt thing. Terrifying experience
Golgotha! the terrors of waste management are real. the runs i survive i just sprint through that place.
This One good old game.
Resident Evil IV remastered a tope 🧟♂️
BG3
Black Myth: Wukong. Was always a big fan of the story growing up, so to see it re-imagined in this way is amazing. Also, some of the most amazing graphics I've seen in my 30+ years of gaming.
Among us 🔥 always a good laugh. Was a bit glitchy when I used to play, and they got rid of the ability to type what you wanted which sucks. Might have changed now though
Oh man! I wish I had time to game anymore.... 🤣
#freemarketkids #hodlup
Trekking Through History- it’s a board game. Played with my husband and kids at least 10 times before I finally won.
I don't game much, but when I do it's to stay in touch with people I love.
I play a little escape from tarkov with an old friend.
I play Walkabout Minigolf on the Quest 2 with my Dad.
GHWT:DE (Guitar Hero World Tour: Definitive Edition), Xonotic, OpenArena, Quake III: Arena, Unreal Tournament ('99 and '04), and many more moddable games (most abandonware or old).
Endless Space 2
Life.
Cyberpunk 2077
Life
Still grinding it out on Elite :)
Trying to get the ball from my dog
Valorant.
I played a lot of StarCraft… waiting for frost giant game to be released and get back into real time strategy
FC 24
waiting on FC 25 to come out.
Rocket League
path of exile and a small indie game called dwarven realms.
Diablo 4, still haven't beat uber lilith 😩
I've actually had trouble getting into games recently. I tried Baldur's Gate 3 but meh.
So I've been reading fiction again. That's my kick lately.
If you ever want to see what fully integrated Bitcoin Lightning and peer to peer trade looks like in a video game. I would be honored to have to and show you around sovereign craft. https://youtu.be/nZIiBV-Gwn8?si=wtCCdEG3BpngK9HW the money is NEVER in game and every in game transaction is on a real LN wallet. Built on LNBits mostly singlehandedly on my spare time. Our discord has good people too.
As I get older I am finding that there's no deep message in most media and I don't care to both waste my time doing things that don't create real value AND let someone else inject their brain worms into me. Even music is becoming tough to listen to. If anything, I try to stick to the classics and non-fiction.
Haven't played games in a while, but I would highly recommend:
The Last of Us (both parts, incredible gameplay and story)
Days gone (open world zombies done right!)
God of war (the whole series but especially the newer 2 games)
Horizon zero dawn (at least watch the YouTube compilation of the story, the story is fantastic)
Returnal (fantastic sci-fi shooter)
Age of empires 4 (RTS)
Zelda always Zelda and Minecraft
GOTY contender at the top that i recently finished playing is Black Myth: Wukong
Gist: Monkeh with a stick
PUBG and RDR2. I want to check out Diablo 4 too soon.
I could never get far in RDR2, not sure why it never grabbed me. PUBG on the other hand… so good.
I'm not big on singleplayer campaigns, especially if they're very linear. So RDR2 with it's vastly dynamic world, fantastic main story and an enormous amount of random NPC encounters and side missions makes the game so much fun for me. It makes it even better running ultra graphics with RTX on.
Call Of Duty 2, and all that because my kid started to play so I refreshed my skills too 😉
Zelda TOTK, RE4 remake
I got project diablo 2 running on my Chromebook. kinda fun, impressed that people still working on it
not sure if I actually wanted to play the game or just wanted to make it work.
Didn’t know that was possible!
chromeos out-of-the-box includes a linux container (crostini) that is gpu-accelerated for the devices that have them (called Chromebook Plus these days, i think). the linux environment is pretty useful and performant but theres still retarded permission-related things about it (cant screen capture ChromeOS) and not all usb peripherals (i.e. camera or bluetooth) are available to the container.
eventually I'll flash coreboot and go native linux when im tired of fighting it, wrestling with chromeos is my version of linux gaming 🤣🤣
Finishing God of War, then its back to Diablo 4 when the new season drops
