It takes me less than 15 minutes to change my oil. During which, most of the time is spent letting oil fall out of a car while I do something else. It takes me 10 minutes to drive to the Valvoline, 5-10 minutes sitting in line at the Valvoline, 15 minutes for them to change the oil, 2 minutes to drive off their ramps and look under the car and check if they actually put the drain plug back in, 10 minutes to drive home. 47 is longer than 15.
Or, Twitter’s replacement has been predestined and is being dismantled the way darpa was disbanded the exact day FB went online and then a bunch of darpa employees ended up working for FB.

Yours is a very insightful and slightly disturbing (to me) observation. I hope nostr pans out. I hope Twitter pans out for that matter, because competition and choice is good. I’m obviously on nostr, but I’m under no illusions that it is better or worse than anything else. Open source and blockchained or not, all the platforms start out nice and then the evil creeps in. For example, I’ve already gotten spam in replies to my posts. It’s there forever, inmutable. I reported it on Damus, but to what end. The only thing worse then them not doing anything is the idea that someone could do something because then nostr is just a purple bird replacing a blue one.
It’s under the auspices of the preservative spray like they already put on cucumber etc. I’ve always hated that stuff and never believed the “it’s just wax” line. Wax isn’t oily. Reason billion and five to grow your own crap.

Snort likes to see an LNDhub string of letter soup that’s as long as my arm. I had that same problem for a while but inputting that LNDhub string in snort sorted it.

I don’t know, but I’d hazard a guess that it releases more methane than slow composting? Just by virtue of it driving the compost pile so hard. Who knows, maybe since it’s shorter time to harvest then more is released per day BUT for way fewer days. Just spitballing.
I just don’t want to flip my compost. I will water it lightly based on internal temp, day 4 or so I’ll remove the pipes and the compost will have set up enough to not collapse into the hole. This makes air chambers so the fast process stays aerobic instead of anaerobic/rotting. Tonight I’ll tarp it because it’s supposed to rain, and I don’t want the nutrient getting washed away or it getting truly water logged.

After working on my Johnson - Su #compost bioreactor til dusk yesterday, I finally got a chance to see it in daylight today. Ugly was an understatement. Maybe it’s just because I couldn’t get it more than half full. I hope it smells and performs better than it looks.
