I try to take the opposite approach. I love meeting random plebs, and will happily talk if I don't have anywhere to be.

My wife and I were talking about this recently. I told her how I bought a 2x burner for $300 in the late 90s. It printed money for me - I would burn CDs for kids at school and sell them for $8-$10 each.

Then a bunch of my friends installed mod chips in PS1's so we could play burnt games. Glorious times!

Ditched Twitter Blue. Originally had it for fewer ads on mobile, but I was still seeing a ton.

I'm no longer interested in paying, especially when you throw in everything else Twitter has been screwing up.

Excited to smoke my first brisket of the year. There's nothing like spending the day outside in the sun, making sure the smoker temp is on point.

We have bird feeders in the backyard, and there's still a mix of spring and winter birds hanging out together. I enjoy how, as a human, bird watching can be very peaceful, but the bird life is anything but.

I see the occasional cooper's hawk dive in, trying to pick off a snack. They don't care if I'm standing 10-15 feet away from them. They'll hang out in the backyard watching and waiting.

My favorite are the crows. They don't stop by, but I see and hear them around. They're so chatty! They are even more numerous around the airport I fly out of. Sometimes I'll be taxiing to the runway and see murders of them just hanging out in the grass. Sounds ominous, but I love it.
