I've concluded that #ecash on #nostr is vastly superior to any payment system out there and it will win in the long run. Now it's a matter of implementation and adoption.
Now I'd like to tackle another area - digital credentials. It has become vastly complex and captured in the mainstream world. I saw that badges, kind 0 events as a simple alternative. Combine these with web of trust and proof of work, there is a viable alternative.
Instead of #digitalcredentials I'd like to call this #eproofs
Soon, in Australia, criticizing the banks will soon be considered a ‘serious harm’ and subject to prosecution.

Apparently, LinkedIn wants me to pay them money before I can message him directly. LOL!
The EU state machinery is gearing up to build digital wallets for all. Big money, big pilot projects into the billions. Lots of money to be made for vendors. But if you take a hard look, it can be done more easily and simpler with #nostr and #bitcoin
Further, they haven’t figured out to integrate payments; the approach is to create another ‘verifiable credential’ that goes into your ‘digital wallet’ to authenticate to existing payment systems.
Meanwhile, with #nostr, we’ve integrated digital payments and have decoupled the trust infrastructure into components that enable permissionless, but verifiable components, so you can trust on your own terms. Not so, with the above, and they are perfectly fine with that, and the majority of the population is completely oblivious.
It’s a long game here, but I see the winning elements, here, not over in the other side, where there is big money to be made, but at the expense of the individual citizen.

Test. Pls ignore.
Every event in the history of #nostr is potentially zappable.

The sooner we can get off the existing mobile OS platforms, the better. That is why I am so obsessed to prove the concept of a 'digital wallet' that can exist independently of app/os/device.

The thing I still don't have a good handle on is how events can propagate across relays. If I limit my publishing to one relay, how do they get to other relays?
Perhaps we need the concept of blinded applications and blinded grants?
The idea is that you put in a blinded application with no expectation of any feedback, other than anonymous funds being sent your address, if the application is of merit.
While an inference could be made that the funds were the result of a successful application, neither party is obliged to attribute anything.
This approach would reduce of feelings of obligation and/or rejection.
What say you?

Bitcoin separates money from politics.
Ecash separates money from ego.
