We all want to be healthy, but almost no one wants to do the work of healing.

It hurts and it’s painful. One of the hardest things to face is that we are going to feel this pain and hurt whether we do the work or not. We can try to avoid it, but it’s still there.

It’s essential to do the work. The life you want and deserve is waiting for you on the other side of this pain and hurt.

My ex used to make fun of the way I pronounced “ruin”. Of course it was explained away as just being playful or funny. What it really was is a way to shame and judge me that could be easily brushed away if I said anything about it.

We’re surrounded by narcissists in many ways. There is not one single profession that doesn’t have some narcissists in it. In many ways I think it’s worse when they are in helping professions because they end up hurting the people who came to them for help.

Stay safe, stay aware. Let them throw their fits and try not to let it ruin your day. And if it does, go easy on yourself. Dealing with their BS is not easy, we don’t need to pretend like it should be. It’s not easy for any of us.

Many of us have questioned ourselves as to whether we are the narcissist or not. Most often, if you are asking yourself this question, you’re probably not.

Narcissists don’t ask this question, or at least they would never admit it. They’re convinced they don’t do anything wrong. They also simply don’t care.

Forgiving myself has been one of the hardest things I've ever done.

I have also realized that there are many layers to this.

It's a lifelong process, rather than being something that is ever accomplished.

This is also something that you allow yourself to do.

It is not something you can force yourself to do.

The "WORK" in this is mostly allowing.

Allowing ourselves to have the thoughts and feelings without making them or us wrong or bad.

Narcissists are learning about narcissism and all the terms just like most of us are. They’re learning for a different reason though.

They are learning about it so they can use it against everyone else.

To be clear, just because someone calls you one or explains something you do as narcissistic doesn’t mean you are a narcissist. It also doesn’t necessarily mean they are either, but it’s something to be aware of.

We must all pay more attention to the behaviors and the patterns than what people are saying.
