An android-native relay app could allow all your Nostr apps to operate off-line together. You could create an event on a Nostr Calendar app and RSVP it on Amethyst. A single game state can be shared between two Nostr gaming clients.

And of that app allows your local network to connect to it, then your family can use nostr with one another completely off-line.

How would you deal with forced app sleeps?

It just occurred to me, due to a nostr bug, that it might actually be pretty cool to have social media hide *who authored* the posts on your TL to force a kind of double-blind perspective. You'd know the post or reply is (or probably is) from one of the people you follow, but you wouldn't be so quick to agree (and perhaps might even be more willing to disagree) if you aren't just smashing the heart button as a reflex because you like the guy. It might make discussions more communal and disagreements less personal if you knew that you're still talking to someone you generally like and respect, but you don't know whether it's "that one guy on the internet" or, like, your actual Mom.

(Nostr, due to ramshackle Tor support, often displays notes from people without correctly fetching their profiles for me, so I find myself liking or replying or following people without having any idea as to their nym or avatar)

Completely agree. Egos interfere. It's exactly what we envisaged in our app where you can interact with people / content based on their credibility in your graph, instead of their public persona.

after years of mind-mapping, spreadsheets and lists, i've ended up with a simple app called iaWriter, which just gives me a clean screen to write out what i'm thinking without any distractions or workflow...

make it opensource doesn't make it a protocol, caching service is basically an alt path and unless it becomes part of the protocol somehow, it's just lipstick on a pig, it don't make it beautiful

Agreed. Yet the second one is much harder to exercise in the age of digital content overload. Better tooling is needed, as nostr grows it makes it both acutely needed and plausible.

Someone is trying to create a web of empty profiles, to game the trust scores. All the profiles with 10-20 followers follow the same people, all without notes or replies, and all following several 100 people in the hopes they get a follow back.

Sovereignty of trust is the next frontier. Stay tuned.

I don’t make as many design systems as a product designer might on an enterprise team or something. Works great for me. But I should probably make more design systems 😉

unfortunately sketch (not slack) gives you just enough to feel like you might build a system.. but actually you end up with a bit of a puke after 300+ comps
