Hello
Meetup with some of the plebs before #[1]
„Hallo mein Freund“
I just bought @saifedean's new book "Principle of Economics" with #bitcoin ⚡️ at https://academy.saifedean.com.
#TheBitcoinStandard
I will get one at BTC Prague as well 💪🏻
Just start with something simple and run bitcoin core on a raspberry pi. Instructions are on the bitcoin website here: https://bitcoin.org/en/full-node#what-is-a-full-node
To learn the technical side, check out Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos: https://a.co/d/i6BHKln
Thank you very much. I just started with Grokking Bitcoin from Kalle Rosenbaum and Mastering Bitcoin was supposed to be next anyway 😄
If you're storing a large amount of btc I don't personally recommend umbrel since it's still in beta and not considered secure. This is noted in the github repo here: https://github.com/getumbrel/umbrel/blob/master/SECURITY.md
What would you recommend? And where can I start to understand all the technicals on the software engineering side of Bitcoin as a complete beginner when it comes to that topic?
I plan on doing it via Umbrel. Do you think it’s a good idea to run my home server on the same Rasperry Pi that my Node and Relay are running on, or would it be smarter to set up one device for Node and Relay only?
I‘m using RwmNote. I don‘t need the fancy stuff from Notion and the flashcards in RemNote are awesome for learning stuff
