I am tigs and I like to stream games and other stuff. Jack of all trades, master of none. But a master of none is better than a master of one.

That's... stunning!!! Wow I'm actually taken aback.

Have used on-chain BTC for few years but the Lightning experience is truly in a league of it's own. Microtransactions clearly feel like the way forward.

Honestly, if you want the next injection of Bitcoin + Lightning Awesomeness... setup your own node and remove all third parties from the equation. Then you'll know what Satoshi envisioned (I'm guessing on some level).

I also highly recommend this site among MANY others for microtransactions and to see further use-cases for Lightning!

I think its the capacity of the channel being used but could be wrong.

Is that free one?

Check out https://relay.exchange - I use about 10 relays… but for my friends first relay I went with nostr.wine and also use their filter service. 18888 sats though but seems well worth it.

You pay for it with LN and just chuck your npub in when paying. Once paid throw the relay address into your relay settings and presto :D

Fastest zaps in the west 🤠. Paying with your own node has its benefits! 🚀🏎️

This is about as fast as you can get for now, but we can do better.

Soon the rpc-over-lightning tech used in my #CLN iOS wallet app (https://lnlink.app) will be integrated directly in damus, so you will be able to pay instantly and non-custodially with your node without a VPN or Tor.

There will be many future integrations as well: pay with your #LND node via #LNC, "connect to your wallet" apis, and eventually a fully integrated #breez sdk wallet.

The goal for #damus is to make it the best possible social app that integrates seamlessly into #bitcoin protocols for fun and profit. We're just getting started!

I am extremely excited for this! The idea of having my node do all the lifting while not having to trust third parties… 🙏🙏🙏

Hmm... I've spent time locked up in an apartment for over a decade. Never going back to that again so I think I'm going to have to go with the wide open freedom of the Beach!

Anyone else imagining an Army of Orange Oompa Loompa's coming out of this horse?

Not a problem :) Will aim to link the next part in another day or two!

One of, if not, my favorite documentary series. This is a 8 part documentary series about the BBS days by Jason Scott. From 1978 to

Episode 1 of 8 of the BBS Documentary, a mini-series by Jason Scott.

This episode covers the predecessors and the beginnings of the Dial-Up Bulletin Board System (BBS), with historical information as well as interviews with the pioneers and experimenters at the dawn of the home information access age.

Live near the beach currently and absolutely love it... Same time I adore the mountains... Decisions decisions.

I think with the nature of the mountains I would be more drawn to that. Learning botany, horticulture and other things. With the beach side living I'm too worried i might adopt a bottle for a companion!

Weird... Can't zap or tip you at all #[5] !

Can't resolve your LNURL.

Do you want to post an address from your cold wallet? Happy to send bitcoin the old-fashioned way.

Hhaha. I knew Willy Shakespeare was a scoundrel.

The data is stored on the device's Secure Enclave chip and is available only there. It's encrypted, and the data "never leaves the device," according to Apple. Even Apple doesn't receive the data, and it's not stored when your phone backs up, either.

"Face ID data doesn't leave your device, and is never backed up to iCloud or anywhere else," Apple writes.

It's the same way data is stored for Touch ID, Apple's fingerprint reader. Because the data is stored on your device and not on a server or in a cloud, someone would have to have physical access to the device to be able to steal it. And even that would be difficult, considering that the Face ID data is encrypted.
