Here in Michigan it’s public information when you purchase a home so literally anybody would be able to find my address and dox me at any time. This wouldn’t change that for me at least

I would love to see something developed on Nostr that makes it easier to discover people near me geographically who are using Nostr or doing #permaculture or #homesteading. Maybe there is already a way to do that?

As far as I know my beliefs are not able to be disproved and as for race being a false classification that is supported by taxonomy and taxonomic structure.

Am I reading this incorrectly? Seems to be showing a correlation between certain ethnic groups but correlation does not show causation. Furthermore “race” is not a true taxonomic classification so it’s really a poor way to differentiate and was historically used to imply that people with certain traits were less human than people with other traits.

Found this gorgeous, and rather large, mushroom growing in my yard yesterday. Based on its proximity to a mature maple tree I suspect it’s a mycorrhizal fungi but I don’t know the ID. My hand for scale. This is just one of the benefits of having mature trees on your property and integrated into your system. I’m still trying to find the balance in my system on this new property but I’m focused on observing and interacting. #grownostr #mycorrhizal #fungi #homesteading

I’m concerned that something that free moving would be too accesible to raccoons looking for a snack

My biggest concern with critters is possum and raccoons. I’ve heard stories of raccoons even lifting automatic doors and getting into coops at night

I am in the process of fixing up and modifying an old shed on my property to function as a chicken coop. I’m looking for ideas on ways to have a coop door leading to the run that would be openable from outside the coop via rope and pulley type system. Any suggestion or links would be much appreciated. My biggest concern is the reliability of a simple sliding wooden door in a wooden track type setup and I haven’t seen a way to incorporate drawer slides or similar without them getting bound up from dust accumulation. #grownostr #asknostr #permaculture #homesteading #chickens

Starting the garden season hot and heavy with 25 collards, 25 cabbage, and 50 Brussel sprouts. I also started 50 walla walla type onions that are waiting to sprout
