I have been head down lately on day job work, but this #bitaxe ultra has been hashing away, cool and quiet amongst this snow drift of boards on the back corner of my desk.
Right around 500 billion hashes a second, every second of every day.
So bummed to be missing #tabconf this year 😖 if you’re on the fence or live close enough to make an impromptu trip, I highly, highly recommend this conference.
It’s the absolute best for learning, a super chill/no fluff vibe, and a labor of love by the incredible organizing team.
I won this sign at the end of conference auction before doing karaoke until 4am.
Paul Sztorc got mad at nostr:npub1cj8znuztfqkvq89pl8hceph0svvvqk0qay6nydgk9uyq7fhpfsgsqwrz4u.
It was awesome 🥹
Ok that settles it. I’m going!
Hey! I’m here, just not full time yet.
Signal like a bad top 40 radio station maybe.
Just want to thank Bitcoin Magazine for extending the Open Source Contributor Ticket Program to Bitcoin Amsterdam. Our contributors, as well as contributors to other select FOSS projects, are eligible for a GA ticket. More info at:
https://b.tc/conference/amsterdam/opensource
I know of no other conference with a comparable program to reward FOSS contributors, big credit to #[0] for this gift to the larger FOSS community.
That’s awesome they listed your project! I haven’t had any luck getting the Bitaxe included.
I’d love to know what’s going on here! What’s up with that one (ASIC?) in the second half that isn’t doing so hot?
It’s a dc-dc converter to step down the higher DC voltage from the panel to the 5V DC for the bitaxe
What does the magnet do to it?
Hey Nostriches, can someone direct me to the Bitcoin signal on here? Just getting memes so far.
Solar Bitcoin mining is so much fun!
Very curious too! We are currently devoid of open source Bitcoin mining.
Just updated Damus from TestFlight.. now my phone doesn’t overheat!
> Most miners will precompute the SHA256 "midstate" from the first 512-bit (64 byte) chunk of data, and only repeat the 2nd SHA256 round with the final 512-bit chunk (which contains the nonce).
I just zapped you. Didja get it? I wish there was some confirmation somewhere..
Okay, when y’all are zapping, how many sats do you send?

Waiiit, Braiins OS ain’t open source…
I’m convinced there is no /good/ S9 firmware for heating use. Braiins has been taking down their open source code too.
Last year we provided hundreds of free bitcoin 2022 tickets to contributors of 32 open source projects.
This year we are doing the same but bigger, planning to push it to 50 eligible projects.
Nostr is included! Free Bitcoin 2023 ticket for every nostr contributor.

Hit me with any recs you have for additional projects to add going forward.
Do you want to add my open source Bitcoin miner HW project? https://github.com/skot/bitaxe
I’d love to meet some HW folks in Miami
