You should be able to change default settings somewhere. So you dont accidentally fast zap to much.

Good morning! πŸ’œπŸ«‚πŸ‘Š

GM! zapathon (with a hashtag) is a weekly event. Thursdays and Fridays. At 4:00pm central standard time usa (convert to your time zone) and lasts for 30 minutes each of those days.

Post your best memes or pics or clever notes! You will likely get zapped! ⚑️by other users! We zap this shit out of each other. Often 1 to 50 sats on our triggers (set yours however you want) and zap others, and post notes with the #zapathon hash tag on the note, to get zapped.

It is lightning round! Your screen will be going by so fast from so many memes and posts and people zapping each other like crazy! Fun fun!! πŸ˜„

I think like farmers markets or cash to cash transactions off the centralized radar.

Things can be done similarly in Nostr with zaps, and still be decentralized if devs offer a value that is worth a subscription. (Needing a free version and a paid upgrade version to things).

People will pay for an upgrade. Devs just need to think of the financial part before coding.

I definitely do not want centralization. This would make me leave. But I will pay for great decentralized things.

Yes, I understand. Making or having a service or product that entices users to spend a good amount of sats to use it monthly/yearly is key. If a relay does something very good for people, they will pay for it. The relay operator needs to advertise its benefits however. But relays are only one example. Just coding a hodgepodge of stuff for tips is doomed to fail.

People will pay for an upgrade version from a free version, if they see the value for value.

Devs are great at what they do, but suck at finance.

Fucking developers only talking to developers again.

Its not an attractive starting interface. Hard to find topics of interest. The live audio client could be huge.

Nostr gets fun after you find very active users, especially when they are similar minded. Most are, but it takes a bit to get to this point. Live audio nests pushes the accelerator to the floor! For having fun, laughing, and hearing from like minded people.

I think many people like myself would be happy to have free relays but are also happy to pay for paid relays!

I think devs getting paid to use their premium services is key. I am happy to pay for an upgrade. It is wise to have a free version and also components that users can opt into if one chooses that are paid. Value for value.

This is the way. ⚑️

Developers not listening to users on what they prefer. Developers made a lot of stuff but its not organized into one cohesive system. Needed better onboarding, and very importantly it needed a better way of retention to new users. Try coming onto different clients with 0 followers and talk into the void. New users need to be asked about 8+ things they may be interested in.. bitcoin, privacy, photography, art, live audio chats, decentralization, etc and those that they choose, link them up with those groups so they have a base of like minded people to start from.

Nostr needs a directory. Lists.

Developers seem to only want to talk to developers. I appreciate it when they ask questions like this to the user base.

Good morning, Rasha! πŸ’œπŸ«‚β˜•οΈ
