Beautiful nostr-based websites for creators at https://npub.pro

Big update on Npub.pro!

We've added manual content management for you. Basically, not only can you import content onto your site with hashtags, you can also manually select which posts to publish.

Let me use https://whynostr.org as an example. It's a new site where auto-import by hashtags is completely turned off, and I manually add new posts to it.

On the site Dashboard we have "Posts" button now:

The first thing you'll see there is all posts already published on the site:

You can filter through published stuff:

And you can tab "Add post" to find and publish another piece. The first thing you'll see there are "Post ideas" - posts by same authors and similar hashtags like ones you already have.

Post ideas are very rough now, so you'll probably want to tap "Search posts" to find something good on Nostr:

I'm looking for the most recent Article by nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 , I find it by name and can tab "Add" to publish it on the site:

That's roughly how it works. You can go to Settings to completely turn off auto-submission by hashtags, or you can simply augment auto-submitted posts with occasional manual submissions.

This has been long in the making and lays the foundation for huge number of new features. Each manual submission is a separate nostr event, which means we can now create various automations and bots to find and submit content to your site - something not possible with hashtag-focused approach.

More updates are coming soon. Meanwhile, please try this and let us know what must be improved!

When your friends ask "Why Nostr?" - what do you say?

Here is https://WhyNostr.org

It's a curation of Nostr posts on the topic. It's not "the best" or "complete" by any measure - it's just my 2 cents, and I need your help!

Do you have your own favorite "why nostr" post? Send a link in comments, and I will zap you and add it to the site.

Want to collab to keep the site up-to-date? Send a DM.

Let's see if we can make a useful resource to augment the purple-pilling efforts!

I have just signed in with Amber, worked fine. Do you click on Amber icon to use it, or do you use bunker url or nostrconnect string?

We've redesigned the admin section of Npub.pro!

The original UI didn't look great and it wasn't easy to find the settings you needed. This new version looks much better, and there's now a search bar on the settings screen that works pretty well.

We're cooking some nice new features now. Meanwhile, please check out the refreshed design and let us know if something's still not great! Link: https://npub.pro/admin

Thank you!

Nip04 for now, have not figured out yet how to make both of them work, many clients still only support the old way

Direct Messages support added to your nostr sites!

There's now a "Send Message" action available under each post. You can make it a default "call to action" in site settings.

Updates will propagate to your sites throughout the day.

New iframe-based signing coming to nsec.app and nostr-login!

Many of you have tried nsec.app and had issues. It might be slow and unreliable, because it involves talking over relays and waking up the signer using web push. iOS users had to keep nsec.app tab open to make it work.

Now check out this demo:

https://v.nostr.build/sajUBBgYejAShlcr.mp4

Basically, client app (or a library like nostr-login) can embed signer (nsec.app) as an invisible iframe and talk to it using browser APIs. Talking to your keys no longer involves relays or web push - it's instantaneous! Works perfectly fine on iOS Safari.

We're releasing the updated nostr-login on https://npub.pro, https://nostr.band and on https://primal.nostrapps.org for you to try it. If all goes well and public scrutiny doesn't kill this, we'll publish the new nostr-login on unpkg and every app using it will get a boost with nsec.app.

The NIP proposal is here: https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/1557

I encourage web client devs to check it out, maybe this is how we take safe key access to the next level of usability on the web!
