Bog filter for the pool pond. It's planted with taro, canna, bacopa and chocolate mint. I had a bad pythium outbreak in it last season and I think that's why the cannas look like crap. Worried about another outbreak when it gets warmer. Before the pythium, this filter turned my green 18,000 gallon pool crystal clear. Now it's clear about 3 ft down.

I run a CSA as my main sales outlet for my farm. Pros: veggies pre paid on subscription so you're "forced" to eat healthier without thinking about it, CAN be a cost saver but not always, it's the best way to support a grower and develop a close relationship with a local farm. Cons: No choice, payment up front for the season (if it's a traditional CSA), you share some risk of farming with the grower, some run free choice or alternative CSA models. I hope you'll take some pictures of you shares and let us know how you like the season. It's my favorite way to farm.

I would seriously consider a proper germination mix for plug trays and a bottom tray without holes to hold water. Invest in the temp gun, check surface soil temp, keep most things 70-80 degrees. read the seed packet for specifics. Your first batch of successful seedlings pay for the equipment

Thank you NRCS. I do believe they are still funding tunnels through the EQIP program. Soil based growing only, 5 year commitment. I need to look into drilling a well with them. Has anyone done that?
