Who are we zapping?
Snort and Iris both have translation functions but neither of them work. What's going on there?
Activitypub is completely ridiculous. Mind boggling that it has gotten as much support as it has.
Yes.. maybe donât mention other users by reply and let clients decide how to handle them instead
You can do this with the web or desktop clients too.
It uses google mlkit translations for anyone wondering.
Set Translate to âOpenâ (on)* and select the language codes you want to translate. It will download** the models it needs and then translation happens automatically, indicated by a special symbol you can press to show the original.
* The English localization is pretty bad, lol
** My app with the models selected is only using like 300 MB last I checked yet the translations are surprisingly good.
Nostrmo client is growing on me. The UI is a bit janky but it has configurable on-device machine translation⌠that is awesome. Thank you nostr:npub19yeqjawls407xjnmgkk6yss7936pcd7qzd5srlj8wye6j8433vrsjazqwk
W- rather. Charged weak currents anyway.
It sounds like you are talking about proton decay.
Free neutrons are unstable. Beta decay happens by intermediate decay of a valence down quark to an up quark emitting a W+ which can then escape the parton sea. Does not require high energy scattering since the proton is lighter so this is energetically favorable.
Yes free neutrons do beta decay with a half life of about 10 minutes.

could we have a small closeable banner up top whenever a new TestFlight build comes out for Damus?
âNew TestFlight build 1.6 (11) out now.â
Donât like having automatic updates on plus it would be a great global ânotificationâ for all the Damus TestFlight user
You can set testflight to notify you when an update is available.
Some clients like relays with trailing slashes while some like them without. Primal likes both I guess? Managing relays is getting really annoying.

The Mostr bridge now has a new way to tag ActivityPub content on Nostr. This has been standardized in NIP-48! đ https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/693
Previously Mostr events used the ambiguous and proprietary "mostr" tag to indicate people and posts from ActivityPub, eg:
["mostr", "https://gleasonator.com/objects/9f524868-c1a0-4ee7-ad51-aaa23d68b526"]
Now those "mostr" tags are gone, and the same ting would instead be expressed like this:
["proxy", "https://gleasonator.com/objects/9f524868-c1a0-4ee7-ad51-aaa23d68b526", "activitypub"]
Proxy tags can be used to locate the original content on the web. Not just for ActivityPub, but also for RSS, Matrix, Bluesky, and whatever else we decide to bridge.
Clients can use this to indicate messages from other protocols, and may choose to include a link to the source content. It could even be used to deduplicate content between bridges and merge threads.
How about proxied NIP-05?
I thought you could save your nsec in your account profile but it looks like they only take npub, and they are open source. Happy to be mistaken :)
