idk what he does with them. is gnostr actually its own thing? I looked at it briefly and it looked like a fork of nostril.

Somebody let the intern fire off the alert without checking the “test” option.

I was just starting to explore some of the UI code yesterday. Is Gossip on Debian/Ubuntu setup to support Wayland? I'm custom compiling the code and I tweaked the .desktop file in the repo and did a custom install of it to .local/share/applications, but the Gnome launcher doesn't seem to track the window manager class correctly, although I see StartupWMClass is set correctly in the file. Just wondering if this could be a Wayland thing, or it should work under a standard install of the .deb.

Don't mean to threadjack, but "UI" triggered me into replying :/

You might need mesa and libxkbcommon as runtime dependencies. Lessons learned from https://github.com/nostorg/homebrew-nostr/issues/7

On iPhone there is an option for “Test Alerts” that is disabled by default. Yet we still got the alert. So now we know that option is useless since the govt won’t even use it appropriately.

Updated: Feature Matrix for Nostr Clients (formerly "nostr-matrix")

- Converted to github pages.

- Separated the table from the written contents into a CSV.

- It should be much easier to contribute and track changes now.

Table itself is getting outdated though. Need contributors!

nostril and nostrcat are on homebrew-nostr now.

what other nostr cli tools do you use?

You can do it tan!

Are there? Yours is the only one I’ve seen. Other clients strip the “_@“ for display so they look the same unless you look at the raw json.

I only noticed this because nostrudel clearly marks your nip05 in particular as invalid next to your name on every note, then I confirmed on several other clients.

For the record I agree with you that this SHOULD be a reasonable way to enter the root domain for nip05. But that is NOT what the NIP says so it would need clarification to bring this into spec.
